What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based feed format helps to keep you updated on latest content from your favourite websites. Instead of having to revisit a website to see if it has fresh content, you can view an aggregation of latest headlines via a feed reader which collects news from your selected websites. The Infocomm Singapore portal supports RSS 2.0 which is supported by most feed readers.

What Do I Need to Do?

You will need to download a program called an aggregator. This provides a user-friendly interface to read the RSS/Ator information feeds from your favourite websites on your computer. You can also subscribe to new RSS/ Atom feeds or manage your existing feeds via the reader.

How Do I Get a Feed Reader?

There is a range of feed readers available online. Different readers work on different operating systems, so please take this into account when you choose one, and follow the instructions.
